Either I am using this wrong (clear tape on wooden shelf) or it really doesn't work. This is a shame because it is expensive. I put it about 2 inches back from the front of the shelf to keep paperbacks from shifting to the back of the shelf and sliding around when the book end isn't tight. There really isn't a noticeable difference between having the tape and not having the tape. I really wanted it to work....
